1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA

SOLD! 1989 Pontiac Trans Am GTA SE 20TH Anniversary Turbo Indy Pace Car 25k miles very nice in and out! Pontiac started with its high-end GTA model: All were white, with camel interior. The vast majority of TTAs came equipped with both available options--T-tops and leather seats. Solid-roof and cloth-seat variants mixed and matched through the 1,555-unit production, but are exceedingly rare (some sources put the solid-roof cloth-seat TTA at 15 built). Outside, subtle "Turbo" badging and the Indy Motor Speedway logo replaced the usual GTA badging. Inside looks like a standard Trans Am with a couple of exceptions: A boost gauge lives inside the tach, and a Delco ETR AM/FM cassette with graphic EQ and redundant steering-wheel controls was mandatory (no CD player available) in the dash. But, as is the case with all true muscle machines, it's the engine that really makes the TTA stand out. It's generally believed that the TTA used the Buick GNX's fortified turbo engine, but this isn't entirely correct. Buick's cast-iron, deep-skirt 231-cu.in. V-6 block (originally designed in the early '60s as an aluminum V-8, then later underwent a cylinder-ectomy and a switch in materials, the result of which is incredibly strong) also features a cross-drilled nodular-iron crank for improved oiling. This particular Turbo TA has both options T Tops and leather seating! 25,000 original miles and runs and drives great! These have become sought after and will continue to rise in value due to the high values f the Trans ams and limited production of 1555 on this particular model. SOLD!
